Farm-gate prices via WhatsApp: millers, broadcast to every grower in one click

The farm-gate price changes every month — for both rubber and oil palm. Communicating it to hundreds, even thousands of growers one by one, by phone or by posting a notice, takes time and leaves room for confusion. With gescom V2, Agrisoft-CI now builds WhatsApp straight into your purchasing tool: the new price reaches every one of your growers and suppliers in a single click.

Cup lump, palm fruit bunches: whatever raw material you buy

Whether you buy cup lump in rubber growing, or palm fruit bunches at an oil mill, the principle is the same: as soon as a product's purchase price is updated in gescom — for example to match the month's APROMAC or AIPH circular —, a dedicated button broadcasts it instantly to every grower reachable on WhatsApp.

How it works

From a product's price screen, the miller selects the relevant purchase price line and clicks "Send". The exact number of recipients is shown before confirmation. The message uses a WhatsApp pre-approved template, so it reaches even growers who have never written to the mill, with no need for an open conversation.

  • One purchase price at a time, broadcast to every grower and supplier with a WhatsApp number on file;
  • Sent in the background, with visible progress on screen (processed / total);
  • An unreachable or failed grower never interrupts the broadcast for the others.

What about failures?

An invalid number, a daily WhatsApp sending limit reached — it happens. gescom V2 shows a final result (sent / failed) and lets you retry the failures only, never resending to someone already reached.

Why it matters

A farm-gate price communicated late or incorrectly means a grower selling below the fair price, or a dispute with the mill. By broadcasting the official price the moment it's updated, in one click and to everyone at once, gescom V2 helps rubber and oil palm millers stay transparent and responsive — a real issue in an industry where farm-gate price compliance is a recurring source of tension between growers and mills.
