Our story

It all begins in 2015, in Abidjan. In the palm oil sector, a mill discovers a fraud of several billion CFA francs, backed by fake weighbridge tickets. The shockwave runs through the industry: "Is our purchasing software really up to the task?"

At the time, most mills run on "homemade" applications, with no audit and no real security. Others try to force the business into general-purpose ERPs — SAGE, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics — without ever truly succeeding. Because purchasing agricultural raw materials is a business of its own, with ever-changing rules.

It is from this observation that Gescom is born, designed from the very first line of code for reliability and traceability. Its founding principle comes straight from the fraud: only pay for real tickets, read directly from the weighbridges. No more re-entry, no more "invented" ticket: every payment traces back to a genuine weighing.

Over the years, Gescom has grown with the business: a flexible premium engine tuned to local practices, management of RSPO- and EUDR-certified products, the self-billing specific to the informal sector (the mill invoices on behalf of the producer), digital payment, artificial intelligence and accounting export to ERP.

From this tool, AGRISOFT-CI was born. Our conviction, forged in the field: purchasing raw materials is a business too specific for a general-purpose suite. Only a dedicated business application can meet its demands — and, above all, adapt quickly when the rules change.

The founder

Olivier Mansuy, founder of Agrisoft-CI, brings together security, systems integration and agribusiness. A former paratrooper and systems administrator for the French Defense (special forces), he then worked as an application integration engineer in large retail, before becoming Chief Information Officer of a palm oil production company. There, in 2015, he came up against the flaws of existing purchasing software — and decided to answer them by designing Gescom.
