Palmafrique: safer and faster payments

Palmafrique, a player in the palm oil sector, wanted to digitize its payments — for two simple reasons: more security and more speed. AGRISOFT-CI supported them by connecting their invoicing to the Wave platform.

The challenge: breaking free from cash

Paying suppliers in cash means concentrating large sums — at the office, in the bush, on the road. And that concentration attracts trouble: armed robberies, embezzlement, cash errors that are hard to trace. On top of that comes slowness: preparing envelopes, managing queues, moving money around. Palmafrique wanted payments that were both safer and faster.

The solution: invoicing connected to Wave

AGRISOFT-CI connected Gescom invoicing directly to the Wave platform. Once the invoice is validated, the payment goes out in one click, linked to its invoice — with no cash to prepare, and no human arbitration over "who gets paid first."

Each channel has its use:

  • Wave for small suppliers and smallholder plantations — instant mobile payment, up to 10 million CFA francs per month;
  • bank transfer, reserved for large accounts.

The result

  • a sharply reduced physical cash — and therefore less risk of theft and embezzlement;
  • producers paid faster, which strengthens their loyalty;
  • every payment traceable and linked to its invoice.

For Palmafrique, digitizing payments is not just a convenience: it is a genuine lever for security and trust.
